24 hour Road Patrol

Welcome to the Tupper Lake Police Department web site. This site is here for the convenience of everyone from our local residents, area townships and all tourists and business people that travel through our village. It provides information on our village local laws, ways to contact our police officers, area phone numbers and different forms that are used in the normal course of business at our department.

Our department consists of sworn police officers as well as civilian dispatchers. We provide 24/7 road patrol service. We no longer provide a full time staffed police station. There is an emergency call box outside the front door of our station if you need assistance. While you are free to try to contact us by phone at any time, during an emergency situation I do recommend that you dial 911. Their dispatchers are available to take your call and contact us at any time of the day or night.

Our mission is to consistently and with uniformity strive to maintain social order and provide professional law enforcement services to citizens in the community, within prescribed ethical, budgetary, and constitutional constraints.  This agency strives to enforce the law and maintain order in a fair and impartial manner, recognizing the need for justice, and the consistent appearance of justice.  The Chief of Police recognizes that no law enforcement agency can operate at its maximum potential without supportive input from the citizens it serves.  This agency actively solicits and encourages the cooperation of all citizens to reduce and limit the opportunities for crime and to assist in bringing to justice those that break the law.

I hope you find this site useful and our services professional. Feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns.

Sincerely,

Chief of Police Eric T. Proulx
